This place has big servings of excellent, very tasty greasy Chinese fare. We love the Sweet and Sour Chicken, Sizzling Rice Soup, Sesame Chicken, Egg Rolls, and Potstickers... I have had many things off the menu at this place and all are good, albeit pretty greasy. They deliver all over, and offer take out. I wouldn't recommend dining in. The 'dining area' is dingy and dirty.

Awful. Simply awful. The sushi is simply inedible. I ordered 55$ worth of food and not a single dish was tasty. Delivery was quick, but the food is simply disgusting, tasteless, awfully greasy, and overall unacceptable. This place is terrible. Do not eat here if you have an elevated sense of taste, because it is quite bad.

So just wanted to say I tried May Lee's once more yesterday because I was hungover and wanted Chinese and Sushi. The Sushi has gone very downhill. I will most likely not order from them again. When I first moved to the city I thought they were good. Yesterday I realized it's not even worth it, Chinese is so-so and Sushi has gotten almost as low as say a 7-11 level.

This is my go to greasy chinese delivery spot! Never dine in...hahaha! But the food is actually really good (drenched in grease, but good). My go-to's are wonton soup, hunan chicken (a lot of veggies too) and pork fried rice. Service is what you would expect from a hole in the wall Chinese spot...but c'mon that's not what you look for when ordering cheap chinese food. Delivery is always super speedy (the delivery man now knows are dog by name)! And it's cheap!!! Definitely the best in Inner Sunset.

When craving the occasional chinese delivery, my boyfriend and I always order from May Lee's. Their delivery is usually right on time, not to long and not super quick. We usually get the same thing every time we order, chicken w/ string beans, crab cheese puffs, kung pow chicken, and a sushi roll. Comes out to around $40 including tip for the driver. Good thing about May Lee's is that they have coupon deals for different amounts that you spend. We usually use the coupon code for $30 which is free chicken fried rice or chicken chow mein. Don't get the lemon chicken, onion pancakes, or mandrin (mandarin?) chicken wings, Baddd.11/11/12we placed an online order through May lee's website and the time was 7pm we waited until 8:05 before we called them. They are on 7th we live on 20th and from previous times we ordered it usually takes around 35-45 mins for them to show up. When May Lee's picked up the phone we asked them what the current status of our deliver was, they said that they had some back orders so they are running late but the driver is on the way. 20 mins later the food arrives so totally time 1 hour and 25 mins. We unpack everything and notice that they left out an item so we call back and the May Lee's said oh sorry let me take down your phone number and address and we will give it to you for free the next time you order. Didn't want to start an argument so w/e, forget it. The other food items were all okay, we got the mandrin chicken wings and it was edible, but upon eating the 3rd wing there was something on the chicken and it was soo stringy and stiff, couldn't figure out what it was.- 1 star : really greasy- 1 star : never reading the comment box (every time i leave a comment seems to be disregarded)- 1 star : some times the chicken has a subtle taste to it that makes me second guess the freshness.+ 1 star : big portions, a bang for your buck+ 1 star : cheap and has coupon dealsi'll post again if i decided to order from them again, and see if they actually remember to include my "free" (since i already paid for it) item.

We thought we would try a new Chinese place in the neighborhood, and we will definitely not be ordering again.Everything tasted like it was reheated (a bit stale an tough) and the Duck was inedible - we actually threw away the entire thing after one bite... :(There are far better Chinese joints out there, and next time I will be ordering from them.

After living in Inner Sunset for over a year and walking past May Lee's Restaurant a countless number of times, I decided that it was time to finally try it out. I got an order of chicken fried rice for take-out and from the time I ordered it, to the time I walked over to pick it up, it was already packaged and bagged with a fork and fortune cookie. The chicken fried rice ($4.25): seems like a deal and was more than enough for me. The rice was a little bit mushier than I was expecting, but it was still good (then again, I was pretty hungry at the time, so maybe my opinion was a bit skewed). There was a fair amount of chicken and I really can't complain for the price (they pack a lot of rice into the take-out box).I probably won't be going back soon, but it's nice to know that this is an option- especially for delivery.

May Lee's is easily my favorite Chinese spot in the city. The inside is a little dingy, but the people who own it and work there are pretty nice and serve quickly and politely. The food is enjoyable and really well priced. My friends and I, being the broke college kids we are, order off the lunch special. We're always impressed with how good the food is. Furthermore, our total always comes to under $8, which makes us happy. There are always left overs as well! May Lee's really is a great spot.

Saturday, 2:30 pm, STarving and on a glum quest to find vegetarian chow mein for under seven bucks, May Lee's shined through and came to my delicious rescue. I wanted to try San Tung but it was bursting at the seams with people, hungry Chinese people. I hope I can try it someday. I tried Golden Chopsticks across the street but they were only offering their lunch menu. Tracing back my footsteps back to 7th ave I kneel at the wooden menu board and make my decision, veggie chow mein and veggie egg rolls please. Ten minutes later two piping hot boxes of yummy are nestled in my arms and I march diligently back through Kezar Stadium, back up steep Stanyan, and back to my warm nest. This travel took about 25 minutes and when I unfolded the boxes I received a wok breath facial from the hot steam.I've decided cheap, greasy, fast American-Chinese food simply tastes best on an empty stomach and low debit account. I think this is the best veggie chow mein I've ever tasted chock full of mushroom slices, crunchy water chestnut. broccoli, celery, gai lan, and cabbage. I asked for them to make it spicy and they make it spicy. The only thing I'm bummed about was the lack of duck sauce to slather my veggie egg rolls in. Regardless, they were neat and tasty and less than $1 each.I wonder why they serve Japanese food too? Perhaps they thought it would be a good idea to offer cheap American-Japanese food... May Lee's is a solid male dominated operation... despite the flower vases on the dining tables and the statue of the Buddha in the back, I felt like a woman's touch could be helpful.

Just got delivery from here. Delivery was right on time, and price was totally reasonable. Honey and I just scarfed down some of the food, and it was really yummy! Try the salt and pepper Pork Ribs - YUM. Portions are huge (tempura was bursting out of the box), so we ended up putting half the order away for tomorrow.
